Qu-Existentialism
Existentialism is a philosophical movement that has been influencing art, literature, and human thought for centuries. Its origins can be traced back to ancient texts such as the Epic of Gilgamesh, where themes of mortality and the search for meaning were first explored. However, it was not until the 19th and 20th centuries that existentialism began to emerge as a distinct philosophical school.
Pioneers like Friedrich Nietzsche, Søren Kierkegaard, and Jean-Paul Sartre brought existentialism to the forefront of intellectual discussion and challenged the traditional notions of truth, morality, and existence.
At its core, existentialism is concerned with the human experience and the individual's search for meaning in a world that can often seem meaningless. Existentialists ask big questions like, "What is the meaning of life?" and "What happens after we die?" These questions, while difficult to answer, drive individuals to take personal responsibility for their lives and make choices that give them purpose.
